Our team, together with Sber Marketing and Sber Metaverse, developed a unique AR-excursion for the Stalingrad Battle Panorama Museum. The project was timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the Battle of Stalingrad and includes seven exciting installations, navigation and an interactive information system that allows users to point their phones at exhibits and receive detailed information about them in augmented reality. We used advanced domestic technologies that provide realistic scanning of objects, as well as a VPS system, Naviar SDK developed by Sber, which allows virtual objects to be positioned in space. Our team was also involved in developing the visual and aesthetic identity of the project, including general production, concept creation, scene setting and computer graphics.
BATTLE OF STALINGRAD
2D/3D / BRANDING
We have implemented navigation logic in augmented reality, which simplifies the movement of visitors. All halls are displayed on a virtual map, which allows you to quickly orient yourself in the space and understand where to go next. PLAY
AN INTERACTIVE INFORMATION SYSTEM HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR THE MUSEUM
EXHIBIT IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND
Each hall has names of zones and showcases, as well as special labels on the exhibits. By approaching a showcase and tapping on the label, the user can study all the materials about the exhibit directly on the screen of your smartphone.
ADVANCED USER EXPERIENCE NETWORK

ВОРОНКА
We have developed a fascinating and colorful scene in augmented reality, saturated with the atmosphere of epicness and heroism. After viewing the main story, the user is given the opportunity to see and learn in augmented reality the history of three significant awards of the World War II: the Order of Lenin, the Medal for the Defense of Stalingrad and the Gold Star. This interactive form of information presentation allows for a deeper understanding of the significance of these awards and their contribution to history. PLAY

LETTERS
We have “revived” authentic letters from the war times. Flying letters will appear in front of you, as if from the magical world of Harry Potter. When you click on any of them, you will see them fly up to the screen and open, and a professional narrator will read their content. Thus, the user will learn the stories of more than 50 defenders.

An interesting fact: previously visitors had no opportunity to familiarize themselves with these letters, as they were stored in an archive. We gained access to this archive and converted the manuscripts into a virtual format, which allowed us to present their history in a fascinating and modern format for all visitors.
INSTALLATIONS
Volumetric is a cutting-edge solution provided by the SBER team, which allows capturing images of real objects using cameras and translating their copy into three-dimensional space with high accuracy and detail. As a virtual guide, throughout the entire user experience there is our protagonist - the museum curator, the boy Valka, who accompanies the user during the virtual tour and helps visitors to understand the expositions.

The realistic image of Valka is the result of this technology.
As part of the quest we used the latest technologies, including SDK naviar VPS developed by SBER METAVERSE, which allowed us to accurately position virtual objects in real space without any markers.

ALL TYPES OF ACTIVITIES
During the World War II, people who worked in factories played an important role. However, their stories of confrontation often remain in the shadows.

n this scene, we show what happened inside factories every day: how our citizens worked and survived during aerial bombardments by Nazi invaders. The story unfolds around a special armored capsule. Such structures were placed close to the machines, allowing the workers to take safe shelter and, after the raid, to continue their work immediately. PLAY

ВОРОНКА
The main location in the AR-exposition. Allows visitors to feel like a participant of the battle and learn about all the heroes depicted on the main canvas of the museum - the crossing of the Volga River by units of the 13th Guards Rifle Division. The user in augmented reality will “plunge” into the midst of hostilities and see a flying Soviet Army airplane right above his head. After the scene is over, visitors will be able to explore the diorama through game mechanics - opening pieces of the canvas like puzzles and listening to fascinating stories about real heroes of that time. PLAY
Given the specific nature of augmented reality, we focused on creating an intuitive user path and interface. By analyzing user actions, we developed logical chains for smooth interaction. The interface design was created with users in mind, combining aesthetics and functionality to maximize comfort.

FACTORY
The museum has a hall with an exhibition of Soviet and German weapons and ammunition wrecks. For the uninformed eye, it is difficult to imagine how these guns looked like in their original form.

In this scene, we provide the user with a unique opportunity: after watching an interesting story, you can see in augmented reality how ammunition is assembled from the wreckage, as well as examine it and listen to the narrator's comments. PLAY

“URANUS” AND “RING” OPERATIONS
These operations were key moments that tipped the scales in favor of the Soviet Army. Their significance and success can hardly be overestimated. These events were a turning point in the history of the war, which entailed a succession of retreats of German forces, as a consequence of which the Red Army seized the initiative and confidently began to squeeze the enemy all the way to Berlin.

This scene, like a chessboard, shows the course of all the main events of these operations, which marked the beginning of the fall of the Nazi regime.
SPOTLIGHT
In one of the halls of the museum there is a rare spotlight used by our army to illuminate and identify enemy planes during bombing raids. This allowed anti-aircraft troops to shoot down enemies in the air.

We “animated” the spotlight beam and created a retro augmented reality game. The user becomes a member of an anti-aircraft unit and directs the searchlight beam at enemy airplanes flying in the sky and shoots them down. The country needs heroes! PLAY
